Associate Professor Supriya Singh is a Senior Research Fellow with the Faculty of Business at RMIT University, specialising in the Sociology of Communications. Her research has focused on the use of information and communications technologies at home, in small business, government and corporations. Her emphasis has been on connecting the perspectives of users, providers and policy makers so as to encourage and facilitate more effective communication.

Supriya is the author of Marriage Money: The Social Shaping of Marriage and Banking, published by Allen & Unwin, 1997. She is currently the President of the Association for Qualitative Research; a member of the International Advisory Board, New Media and Society; a member of the Editorial Board, Qualitative Research Journal; and Research Affiliate Without Term, Program on Information Resources Policy, Harvard University, USA.
