Prof Gitte Lindgaard, Chair User-Centred Design and Director of the Human Oriented Technology Lab at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, delivered this presentation at a public lecture hosted by RMIT University, in association with Smart Internet, on July 22, 2003. It emphasises the importance of tracking the costs and benefits of UCD so that decision makers know how much they are gaining and how much they may lose from ignoring this approach.
