His background is in Computer Science and he majored in Artificial Intelligence and Human Computer Interaction. Michael’s PhD thesis is on the use of tangible media in complex information environments. Tangible media enables new modes of interaction with intelligent environments and the objects in them, leveraging motor skills and spatial reasoning abilities that people use in the real world. This embedded and embodied mode of interaction also suggests new types of applications, not possible with current computing systems.
