Gunela Astbrink is a Policy Advisor with TEDICORE (Telecommunications
and Disability Consumer Representation) and has ongoing input
into government and industry reviews and inquiries, codes and
standards development relating to disability issues. She is
also Director of the Internet Society of Australia and the Australian
member of COST 219 ter (European Commission action project on
telecommunications and disability).
Over the past 13 years, Gunela has contributed to the broadening
of knowledge about telecommunications and the Internet in relation
to people with disabilities in Australia, the European Union,
Korea, the United States and Latin America. She actively participated
in the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative meetings to develop
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in Australia and the USA.
