The Banking and Finance research of the Smart Internet Technology Cooperative Research Centre aims to translate rigorous user research into the user-centred design of financial services.

The Banking and Finance research is part of a wider project on Security, Trust, Identity and Privacy connecting the User Environment and Smart Internet programs. This linkage helps connect sociological, legal and technological researchers with people in the finance industry, so that people are at the centre of the design of smart financial services.

Our user-centred approach to the design of financial services builds on the User Centred Design (UCD) project 2002-2004 www.ucd.smartinternet.com.au/ucdproject. This project aimed to support and encourage a culture of user centred design in the Smart Internet Technology Cooperative Research Centre.
